Carpe Diem

“In today's world, society has dictated unrealistic expectations of beauty amplified by social media. Over the last 8 months, I had the opportunity to document four incredible individuals who live with a disability; a Paraplegic, a War Veteran, a Vision Impaired, and a woman with Down Syndrome. Motivated, optimistic and vibrant are the words I use to describe them. They move through life as a lasting opportunity despite having a disability whether physical or mental”

“I’m on a mission to break stereotypes and create CONVERSATION”

For people living with disabilities, embracing the principle of Carpe Diem means recognizing that life's challenges shouldn't hold them back. It encourages them to focus on their abilities rather than limitations.

I aim to give a voice to people living with a disability and provide them with an OPPORTUNITY to redefine and reshape societal perceptions of beauty

BRENDON TALBOTT

“People think you're in a wheelchair, you have a disability that you can’t do anything. However, they don’t understand is all the things that you can do and they still have trouble getting that concept”

JENNIFER PARRY

“Society can deal better with blind people with disabilities

by being more accepting and less judgemental”

KATE & ELIZABETH

“Beauty from my perspective comes from within. Unfortunately, if your appearance doesn't fit the mold you are not perceived as beautiful”
